This year’s Realcomm | IBcon conference was a milestone celebration of 25 years at the intersection of real estate technology and innovation. Attendees were creative, forward-thinking, progressive and global commercial and corporate real estate and facilities professionals who joined us in Las Vegas for thoughtful discussions, debates, and demonstrations on PropTech and the built environment.
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive! We are thrilled that so many of our attendees found the Realcomm | IBcon conference such a valuable experience and hearing about how much they enjoyed reconnecting with peers, colleagues, and clients. As we continue to navigate in today’s new normal, we are grateful for all who participated, helping us deliver a high level, engaging and educational event.
Realcomm | IBcon hosted its 8th annual Golf Outing and Charity Event that drew more than 80 golfers (the largest turnout yet!) who played the course at the Arroyo Golf Club at Red Rock. The charity event benefited Stacks+Joules, a non-profit workforce development program to help solve the skilled labor shortage in the BAS industry.
Special thanks to our event co-chairs Robert Entin of Vornado and Todd Januzzi of The Paramount Group for helping us organize the fun and making this a successful event, year after year!
Realcomm | IBcon attendees participated in back-of-house tours of several innovative projects and experiences in the Las Vegas area:
AREA15 represents what’s next in the experiential entertainment space. It is the world’s first purpose-built immersive art and entertainment district featuring a curated list of dynamic destinations, ground-breaking technology, interactive art installations, extraordinary design elements and more. Attendees learned new, creative ways to address space obsolescence in their portfolios.
The construction industry has relied on standard onsite practices throughout its history. Modular construction is one type of innovation recently introduced to the industry. Boxabl has brought a number of key characteristics to their strategy: precision design, technology rich and built off site in a factory environment. In addition to addressing the pressing needs of the single-family home market, these techniques could ultimately be applied to other commercial asset classes. Attendees got an in-depth look at what makes the Boxabl factory so remarkable.
The newest hotel on the Strip, Resorts World, showcases the best of breed in Las Vegas, if not the world. The digital globe, sophisticated digital signage installations, suite automation, a digitally integrated “food hall” experience, a state-of-the-art theater and night club, advanced building automation and world-class gaming, were just some of the innovations shared on this tour.
