NVIDIA IS A 25 year old company with roots in the PC gaming industry. Their
invention of the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) revolutionized parallel computing
and computer graphics. Today, this computing technology powers some of the
most advanced systems in the world.
PC Gaming is still growing and accounts for much of our revenue; but over the last
decade, the GPU has moved into high performance computing, virtual reality, and
artificial intelligence. The common thread between these industries is that their high
volumes of data require processing information in parallel. At our new company
headquarters, that GPU technology came into play for design and application.
