Andres Rodriguez is the Director, Building Connectivity and has over 15 years’ experience in IT/OT environments in healthcare, finance, oil and gas and real estate. At QuadReal, Andres works to deploy networks that serve as the platform to build their digital building operational environments and amenity initiatives.

Susan Gerock currently serves as SVP, Information Technology and CIO for Elme Communities, formerly known as WashREIT. She has over 25 years' experience in various technology roles spanning manufacturing, consulting, application service provider and commercial real estate organizations. Her specialties include ERP selection and implementation, project and change management, and cybersecurity. She is also a proponent of the use of social media and the overlapping relationship between technology and marketing.

Ken Kurz brings over 20 years of leadership and operational experience in cybersecurity, network technologies, information systems, risk mitigation and remediation, and technical project management to COPT. Supporting COPT as CIO since 2016, he has prior experience as the CISO for the University of Delaware, CISO for the University of Oklahoma, and CIO for the US Naval Academy Alumni Association & Foundation. He has also held various technical and leadership positions within the Department of Defense.

Helane Stein is SVP, CIO of Brixmor responsible for the overall technology vision, strategy, systems and infrastructure that support business operations. She leads the implementation of transformational solutions that drive organizational efficiency, increase productivity, enhance collaboration and deliver results. Brixmor owns and operates a high-quality, national portfolio of open-air shopping centers. Its 632 retail centers comprise of approximately 64 million square feet of prime retail space in established trade areas.

Thomas Taddeo is SVP, CIO at Kimco. He is responsible for the overall technology strategy, systems and infrastructure which support Kimco's global business operations. He also directs the implementation of enterprise initiatives that leverage technology to improve organizational efficiency and productivity. Prior to joining Kimco, Tom was a Senior Manager at Deloitte in their Real Estate Consulting Practice. He has a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.

Their goal is to provide a robust and secure platform that supports all technology-related business initiatives.”

As Director of Information Security at Brookfield Properties Retail, he drives the maturity of their cyber security program, focusing on security architecture, vulnerability management, and third-party risk management.

Fred Gordy is a Smart Building industry expert and thought leader with 20 years of experience in secure control system development and implementation for Fortune 500 companies throughout the US and abroad. He is one of the first in the Smart Building industry to address the inherent risk that control system technology poses. He has authored and participated in over 100 articles on building control cybersecurity with industry magazines as well as the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and Healthcare publications. In addition to publishing articles, for almost a decade he led control system cybersecurity workshops and has been a passionate speaker and teacher on the subject of building control cybersecurity.

Thano Lambrinos has over 15 years’ experience in the construction and building technologies space, and leverages digital transformation learnings across vertical markets to drive innovation and change in commercial real estate. At QuadReal, Thano works to deploy advanced technologies that redefine the way buildings are designed, built, managed, and how the occupants experience their environments. As Senior Vice President, he leads the Digital Buildings, Customer Experience & Innovation teams, and is focused on the development and execution of the digital strategy across a global real estate portfolio.

Gary Hopewell is a Cyber Security Advisor (CSA) with the DHS’ Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). Formerly, Gary was an FBI Computer Scientist for 10 years, investigating national security, and cybercrime for the Cyber task force in Orlando and St. Louis. He retired a US Navy Commander who began his career as a Surface Warfare Officer and retired as an Information Professional.

Cecilia Li has more than 20 years of experience as a proven technology strategist and business transformation expert. She is currently the SVP, CIO of Urban Edge Properties, a REIT that focused on management, acquiring, development and redevelopment of retail real estate in urban communities. Urban Edge owns 77 properties totaling 16.2 million square feet of gross leasable area.

Andrea Curley is currently a Director for Yardi. She is a seasoned sales executive and relationship manager with over 20 years experience building and leading sales operations and client relationship efforts. Background includes managing complex sales processes, growing existing business and demonstrating intricate system software.

Yael Urman is Silverstein’s Chief Information Officer and oversees the company’s technology initiatives and strategy. Gregg Haverstick is an Enterprise Managing Consultant with RealFoundations. With more than 20 years of real estate management and consulting background, Gregg has a deep understanding of multi-sector operations, real estate enterprise strategy and industry-leading technologies. Over the course of his career, he has leveraged this knowledge to strengthen the operating platforms of many prominent commercial, retail and multifamily owner/operators, and developers.

Amanda Gibb has over 17 years’ experience in the commercial real estate space, leading technology teams for the past 10 years at Westfield, Starwood Retail, JLL, and now Bedrock in Detroit, MI. At Bedrock, Amanda works to deploy a fit-for-purpose application tech stack for the vertically integrated real estate company, including M&A, property management, leasing, development, construction, marketing, HR, legal, and accounting, across all asset types and classes. As CTIO she leads multiple technology teams, including Infrastructure, Applications, Building Controls, Data & Analytics, and Help Desk, working closely with the CTO and Innovation teams. The teams focus on projects that improve operational efficiency, cost savings, tenant experience, innovation, and data quality/insights.

Kim Scharf has been the Senior Vice President of Information Technology at SITE Centers Corp. since April 2017. Before this, Kim served as SITE's Vice President of IT Enterprise Services. Tim Vogel is the Director of IoT at KMC Controls, leading initiatives around cloud-connected products and solutions, including the IoT and automation platform KMC Commander. Working in building automation and industrial IoT since 2016, he manages channel partners across OT and IT segments, OEM partnerships in energy and solar, large-scale accounts, cybersecurity products, and third-party partnerships with many leaders in PropTech.

Brett Fisher is the Senior Director of Product Management for Workplace Service Delivery, and is tasked with defining and executing on the roadmap for the platform. Previously, he was a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting, with responsibilities in leading the IWMS practice. Brett has a decade of experience in leveraging technology to enable the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) function. Chris Christensen is the Cybersecurity Director for Honeywell Building Automation (BA). Ken Kurz brings over 20 years of leadership and operational experience in cybersecurity, network technologies, information systems, risk mitigation and remediation, and technical project management to COPT. Supporting COPT as CIO since 2016, he has prior experience as the CISO for the University of Delaware, CISO for the University of Oklahoma, and CIO for the US Naval Academy Alumni Association & Foundation. He has also held various technical and leadership positions within the Department of Defense.

Clare Meredith is a Technology Program Manager at Google whose primary focus is within the Digital Building space. She leads a process known as Device Qualification which ensures devices deployed on Google networks meet strict network and security requirements. Clare started her career in Real Estate in Facilities Management in 2010, before moving to CBRE in 2017 as a Project Coordinator for the Google Enterprise Network team. From late 2020 until just recently, she chaired the Building Controls Steering Committee for an Alliance, working alongside peers across industry to promote the importance of high standards in cyber security.

Jonathan (JP) Flaherty is the Director of Sustainability at Tishman Speyer, one of the leading owners, developers, operators and fund managers of first-class real estate worldwide. In this role, he manages sustainability certificates, investor communications, worldwide performance tracking, and technological innovation implementation.

Ryan Knudson, is the AVP for Operations and Energy Management at Macerich. He is responsible for the development, execution and operations for all Capital Expense Energy and Smart Building projects as well as national program vendor management. He oversees the daily operations of Macerich’s portfolio with a focus on same center NOI growth.

Andy Schonberger is currently Vice President of Client Services at Intelligent Buildings helping clients with advisory, site assessments and managed services. He has 15 years’ experience in facilities management and technology, ranging from large industrial to commercial office where he has held engineering, project management, advisory and hands-on implementation roles for organizations including Earth Rangers, Cisco Systems and the Canada Green Buildings Council (where he was Past Chair of the Toronto Chapter).

Jeff Thompson is Vice President of Product Management at Building Engines. Jeff joined Building Engines in 2018 via its acquisition of AwareManager, where he was Co-Founder and CEO. Donny Walker leads Newcomb Boyd's Intelligent Building Systems group. He has over 20 years of engineering, project management, and partner-in-charge responsibilities in communications, security and integrated building automation systems. His experience includes aviation facilities, health care buildings, judicial facilities, advanced technology developments, military installations, data centers, mixed-use developments, performing arts facilities and college campuses. With prowess designing technologically sophisticated campuses, his background encompasses over 150 projects specializing in an integrated design with network-enabled systems.

Daniel Goldstein is a seasoned product manager with over a decade of experience in bringing innovative solutions to market. With an understanding of consumer needs and market dynamics, he has led cross-functional teams to launch successful products across diverse industries, including elevators, specialty chemicals, and consumer goods. Daniel's strategic vision and collaborative approach have driven product innovation, resulting in tangible business growth and customer satisfaction. David Witherspoons’s role within Honeywell’s Global Offering Management team affords him the opportunity to work closely with leadership of the Hardware, Software, and Field Device groups to conceptualize and plan the future direction of Honeywell solutions, specifically those aligned with the Niagara portfolio. Farukh Aslam is the Chief Executive Officer of Sinclair Digital (SD) a low voltage design and consulting company developing Digital DC-Microgrid Buildings. In 2019, Aslam successfully developed the Sinclair Marriott Autograph Hotel which is widely considered the most diverse PoE and DC Microgrid project in North America. From the completion of the Sinclair Hotel, Aslam created SD to bring expertise of the sustainability and cost benefits of a DC building infrastructure to the marketplace. Since its inception SD has been involved in several design build projects and continues to evolve DC infrastructure in buildings.

Andrew Lu serves as Director of Product Management in the Engineering Sustainability Office (ESO) at Cisco. He passionately nurtures and promotes DC-microgrid solutions like Fault Managed Power (FMP) and Power over Ethernet(PoE) for sustainable building infrastructure. Prior to Cisco, Andrew’s career spanned multiple sectors including industrial automation, intelligent building system integration, and home automation. Andrew represents Cisco as a co-founder and the President of the FMP Alliance.

Bob Voss is a Distinguished Engineer in Panduit Corporate Research and Development, driving technological innovation. Focused on industrial and building automation, his expertise spans shepherding of groundbreaking technologies such as Single Pair Ethernet and Fault Managed Power. Bob plays a key role in setting global engineering standards in IEEE, TIA, NEMA, ODVA, and NFPA, as well as nurturing strategic technology partnerships. Bob is the chairman and one of the founders of the FMP Alliance.

Corey Blatt is the National Smart Buildings Program Manager in the Facility Technology and Innovation branch of Office of Facilities Management (OFM). In this role, he oversees all aspects of the Smart Building program to include integration guidance, Fault Detection & Diagnosis (FDD) also known as GSAlink, and technical advice in the implementation of program policy, goals, plans and objectives. Corey had a 20 year career in all aspects of BAS in the private sector prior to joining GSA.

Ana Rawson is the Director of the Facilities Technology and Innovation Division in the Office of Facility Management for PBS, overseeing critical programs such as smart buildings, computerized maintenance management, operational excellence, advanced metering and the Green Proving Ground.

Sandy Shadchehr is the Director of the Buildings Technology Services Division within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). She manages a portfolio of cutting edge technology projects related to Smart Buildings, Internet of Things (IoT), Workplace Innovation Lab (WIL), Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), and the Zero Trust Framework for the Public Building Services (PBS) within GSA. Under Sandy’s leadership, GSA IT has pioneered the next generation of Smart Buildings for the national GSA portfolio by implementing practical and interoperable solutions, while maintaining a strong cyber posture. Her focus areas also include creating scalable, flexible platforms that allow GSA to evolve with new technology and market conditions.

Lee Turner is the National Capital Region Smart Buildings Program Manager in the Facilities Management & Services Program (FMSP) branch of Office of Facilities Management (OFM). In this role, Lee oversees all Regional aspects of the Smart Building program to include integration guidance, Fault Detection & Diagnosis (FDD) also known as GSAlink, Unified User Interface, NCR’s Regional Operations Center (ROC) and technical advice in the implementation of program policy, goals, plans and objectives. Prior to joining GSA, Lee had a 20 year career in all aspects of BAS in the private sector with smart buildings technologies.

Thano Lambrinos has over 15 years’ experience in the construction and building technologies space, and leverages digital transformation learnings across vertical markets to drive innovation and change in commercial real estate. At QuadReal, Thano works to deploy advanced technologies that redefine the way buildings are designed, built, managed, and how the occupants experience their environments. As Senior Vice President, he leads the Digital Buildings, Customer Experience & Innovation teams, and is focused on the development and execution of the digital strategy across a global real estate portfolio.

The portfolio includes 200 buildings, almost all of which have a digital twin, allowing for real-time building performance optimization and enhancement.

James Florian is the SVP, CIO of Related Companies, a privately owned real estate firm with a portfolio of over $60 billion in real estate assets owned or under development that is made up of best-in-class mixed-use, residential, retail, office and affordable properties. Prior to becoming CIO, James was the CISO at Related Companies. He has over 20 years of experience in helping businesses navigate the digital landscape, optimize infrastructure technology, and secure company assets.

Andres Rodriguez is the Director, Building Connectivity and has over 15 years’ experience in IT/OT environments in healthcare, finance, oil and gas and real estate.
