Realcomm 2025 | Precon Accelerator: CRE Cybersecurity Forum
June 2 | 8:00 am - 10:30 am | Savannah Convention Center
In an era of volatile geopolitical dynamics, highly organized cyber attacks are increasingly targeting vulnerabilities in both real estate enterprises as well as critical infrastructure. As innovative building systems drive operational efficiencies, they also introduce new complexities in cybersecurity and privacy strategies for the built environment.Smart building technologies—such as BMS, IoT devices and wireless systems—can pose significant risks, potentially impacting life safety if not properly secured. With the rapid expansion of managed and unmanaged access points to building data and operational systems, owners and operators face unique challenges in safeguarding smart buildings. Traditional IT cybersecurity frameworks often fall short for operational technology (OT) in connected environments, necessitating a tailored approach.
The CRE Cybersecurity Forum will explore best practices for securing the built environment and convene industry thought leaders to address today’s most pressing cyber threats and ransomware risks. Developed in collaboration with the Real Estate Cyber Consortium (RECC), this Forum will provide actionable insights to help building owners and operators fortify their cybersecurity strategies.
