CRE Cybersecurity Forum
June 13 | 8:00 am - 11:30 am | Milano
Due to the volatile geopolitical dynamics, highly organized ransomware attacks on glaring vulnerabilities of real estate portfolios and critical infrastructure assets are of growing concern. Innovative building systems that provide operational efficiencies add to the complexities of cybersecurity and privacy strategies for the built environment.Smart building technologies, such as new IoT devices and wireless technologies, can pose serious risks and potentially impact life-safety of building occupants if configured incorrectly. With the ever-increasing number of managed and unmanaged entry points to building data and operational systems, building owners and operators face unique challenges associated with securing smart buildings and facilities. Since many IT-focused cybersecurity frameworks do not work for OT in smart, connected buildings, a modified approach is a necessity.
The CRE Cybersecurity Forum will assess cybersecurity best practices for the built environment and bring together industry thought leaders to address the most high-impact cyber threats and OT ransomware attacks building owners and operators face today. Much of the content for this event will be developed by the ongoing work of the Real Estate Cyber Consortium (RECC).
