CRE Cybersecurity Forum

June 14 | 8:00 am - 12:00 pm | Orange County Convention Center

Cybersecurity, as it impacts the built environment, is one of the most serious concerns for building owners and operators today. The ever-increasing number of managed and unmanaged entry points to building data and operational systems presents unique challenges associated with securing smart buildings and facilities. With today’s volatile geopolitical dynamics, highly organized ransomware attacks are exploiting glaring vulnerabilities in real estate portfolios and critical infrastructure globally. A new-found appetite for invasive technologies, such as the vast amount of new IoT devices, remotely monitored systems, wireless technologies and cloud services being onboarded to buildings, add to the new complexities of cybersecurity and privacy strategies.

The CRE Cybersecurity Forum will assess cybersecurity best practices for the built environment’s next normal and bring together industry thought leaders to address the most high-impact cyber threats and OT ransomware attacks building owners and operators face today. Much of the content for this event will be developed by the ongoing work of the Real Estate Cyber Consortium (RECC).
