For 28 years, the Commercial Real Estate Digital Innovation Awards, known as the Digies, have been presented annually by Realcomm. The Digies recognize the people, companies, and technologies shaping the future of corporate and commercial real estate and the built environment.
The awards reflect the growing role of technology across the industry. Realcomm categories recognize innovation in real estate business processes, while IBcon categories highlight advances in intelligent building systems, connected portfolios, and smart buildings, cities, and campuses.
The Digie Awards have a strong track record of recognizing transformative innovation early. In 2002, Realcomm honored Keyhole, the 3D mapping startup later acquired by Google to create Google Earth and Google Maps. The iPad received Best Technology in 2010 prior to widespread enterprise adoption, and Google Android was recognized in 2011 as mobile platforms began reshaping enterprise operations. Yardi was first honored in 2005 in its early development and has continued to be recognized for its long-term industry impact. In 1999, the Digies recognized early digital real estate leaders including Andy Florence of CoStar Group and Dennis DeAndre of LoopNet.
In 2026, the search begins for the innovators, visionaries, and industry leaders shaping the new landscape. We invite you to participate in the nomination process to showcase transformative impact and ensure these achievements are recognized among the architects driving the Tech REset that is shaping the future of smart buildings and digital real estate.
