The Realcomm | IBcon 2018 conference, one of the most powerful gatherings for the commercial and corporate real estate, facilities and technology industries, was held June 4-8 in Las Vegas. The event brought together over 2,000 leaders from more than 20 countries, including Canada, Australia, Japan, U.K., Singapore, China, France, India, Germany, South Africa and many more. This year also marked the 20th anniversary for Realcomm, which contributed to the remarkable turnout and undeniable buzz of energy and celebration that made the event one of our most successful ever!
Adding to that energy was the hotel itself. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, a unique luxury resort in the heart of the Strip, provided not only a great meeting environment, but also world class dining and party experiences in the evenings with their many restaurants and night clubs.
The week kicked off with a Golf Outing on Monday, followed by seven pre-conference events on Tuesday, two full days of education sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, and finished up with nine Innovation Tech Tours on Friday.
HERE’S A RECAP OF THE WEEK
Monday – June 4
GOLF OUTING Forty golfers braved the 100+ degrees weather to take a run at The Wolf Course at Paiute Golf Resort, one of the top high-end courses in the Vegas valley. Special thanks to co-chairs Todd Januzzi, Paramount Group, and Robert Entin, Vornado Realty Trust, for helping to organize and make this day such fun for all involved.
ADVISORY COUNCIL VIP EVENT As our way of saying ‘thanks’ to the men and women of our 2018 Advisory Council for their assistance in the creation of this year’s program, we enjoyed a night of thrill and exhilaration at SpeedVegas. Nothing like the feel of an exotic sports car driven at incredible speeds on the longest and fastest racetrack in Las Vegas!
REALCOMM | IBCON MEETUP EVENTS This year, we added Meetup gatherings to our pre-conference day for anyone who arrived in Vegas early. Several small groups gathered for activities like biking and working out. One group met at the popular TopGolf venue, the latest digital golf experience. Another of the popular Meetups was at Battlefield Las Vegas, a local range with an interactive shooting experience. This was a great way to connect with new people and will definitely be on the schedule again next year.
